Ciao! I'm Cagkan, a double-registered architect (CNAPPC; Chamber of Architects of Milan& TMMOB; Chamber of Architects of Istanbul) that was born in Antalya, Turkey, now based in Italy. My journey in architecture led me to pursue a Master of Science degree in Architecture for Sustainability Design from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. With gratitude, I graduated with a thesis evaluated worthy of mention by the commissions of the architecture, and entitled as "Urban Commons and Social Sustainability: Proposing a Theoretical Framework of Social Practices in Urban Commons," reflects my curiosity about community dynamics and their effect on social sustainablity hence potential architectural solutions based on the citizens themselves. Before my postgraduate studies, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Ozyegin University in Istanbul, Turkey, where I explored innovative design concepts through various public projects focusing on mostly steel structure.

My professional path has taken me through many architectural landscapes, from Turkey to Italy. Currently, I work as an Architectural Consultant in Milan, contributing to large-scale retail projects across multiple countries. Prior to this role, I was a Collaborator Architect in other cities of Italy such as Turin, Bra, and Cuneo focusing on restoration projects, particularly residential-scale renovations aligned with Italy's "superbonus 110%" initiatives. Alongside my corporate roles, I've had enriching experiences as an Interior Designer and Construction Manager for brands like Maestro Italiano Cafe and MOC Cafe in Istanbul, Turkey. Collaborations at respected architectural firms in diverse cities, further refined my skills in architectural design and site supervision.

Beyond architecture, I'm grateful for opportunities to collaborate in academia and explore artistic pursuits. As a former teaching assistant at Politecnico di Torino, I supported courses in urban sociology and environmental design, humbly learning alongside students. As a conservatory graduate, music and performing arts are passions that bring balance to my life, nurturing creativity and fostering connections. With proficiency in various languages and software tools, I aspire to contribute to sustainable design and community-oriented solutions in the field of architecture with humility and dedication.
